Your Job

What you give your best for.

  • Advising, mentoring and coaching employees in the Data & Analytics department with regard to engineering standards and best practices
  • Solving technical data engineering problems that help other departments fulfil their goals
  • Working closely with internal data engineering experts to promote knowledge transfer and continuous learning
  • Preparing and conducting training sessions on our data analytics platform

Your Profile

What you should have.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent apprenticeship
  • At least five years of professional experience as a software developer or working in the field of IT infrastructure
  • At least two-five years of experience in data engineering with a focus on big data and advanced analytics
  • A passion for sharing knowledge and training less experienced experts
  • Experience with SQL, data analysis and at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Scala)
  • Understanding of database development and data modelling, ideally using Databricks/Spark and SQL Server DB, as well as knowledge of relational, NoSQL and cloud-based technologies
  • Knowledge of common data concepts such as dimensional modelling, ETL processes, reporting tools, data governance, DWH as well as structured and unstructured data
  • Excellent communication skills; proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Confident use of MS Office products, especially for creating training materials

 

Desirable extras.

  • Familiarity with the Unix operating system, especially shell scripting
  • Basic understanding of machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics and/or applied mathematics
