Job Summary

The Data Quality Senior Analyst will be risk-minded, and detail-oriented, and will work at high pace as we transform our capabilities. This role is responsible for supporting and enhancing data quality initiatives, while building strong relationships across the enterprise. Additionally, this role will think big picture while executing on deliverables. The Data Quality Senior Analyst will build and implement solutions as part of our Data Quality Management framework and will contribute to implementing a best-in-class data strategy.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Design and Development: Design and optimize Data Quality solutions for business needs, utilizing best practices, communicating impact to end users, converting technical design into functional components, creating unit tests, and continuously improving applications and processes with quality, efficiency, and user experience. – (30%)

  • Documentation: Create and maintain Data Quality processes, analyze code to identify errors and defects, resolve known issues, review application code for self and others, define and enforce code standards and guidelines, and create and maintain documentation for audit purposes, all while adhering to data governance policies. – (10%)

  • Stakeholder and Relationship Management: Work closely with data owners, data stewards, consumers, and IT, as well as within the data governance team. Identify attributes requiring data quality and corresponding technical and business rules, cultivating relationships across roles, and working with multi-location/global teams. Support and train team members. – (20%)

  • Technical and Business Knowledge: Work in one or more programming languages (e.g. SQL, Java, Python, SAS, R etc.) and knowledge of an ETL application and understanding of SDLC and Agile. Build skills in data quality tools and data governance. Knowledge of database relationships and Technical and Business Knowledge: contribution to data quality projects is essential. – (20%)

  • Project Involvement: Demonstrate the ability to work independently with strong business knowledge on Data Quality and governance. Aim to influence the team to support business outcomes. Monitor and review data entered into the firm’s systems for completion and accuracy. – (20%)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Computer application, Business Administration, or Engineering or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with: SQL, Statistical tools, Data Analysis, Informatica, Collibra, or other industry DQ capabilities, Microsoft Office Suite, Technical documentation, Process and data-flow mapping.

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Computer application, Business Administration, or Engineering or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
