We are looking for a talented IT Security Engineer to be based in Poland (Warsaw / Poznań) or Spain (Madrid)
The Position:
In this role you will be part of the Information Systems Security global team that designs, delivers and supports the solutions and components used to provide Security Services globally within Roche. Our team consists of IT professionals distributed across the globe with expertise in Endpoint Protection, Network Security, Remote Access Management, Vulnerability and Compliance Scan, Security Log Management, etc. We provide technical support and technological consulting on security
As an IT Security Engineer you will lead End-to-End (E2E) monitoring for Network & Perimeter Security Products, encompassing the continuous collection, analysis, and alerting of data across the entire technology stack. Effectively monitor security risks, deviations, and infrastructure health, including network devices, servers, and cloud services.
The Opportunity:
- Design and Optimization: Responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of network security monitoring solutions. This involves defining clear requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and effective alerting strategies to ensure extensive coverage of all critical components.
- Visibility and Collaboration: Develop and maintain dashboards that provide real-time visibility into network security. Collaborate closely with various teams to facilitate seamless integration of monitoring solutions.
- Incident Support and Improvement: Offer expert support during security and infrastructure incidents and continuously strive to enhance the effectiveness of network security monitoring.
- Operations: Available for on-call support on a rotating schedule.
Who you are:
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Security with a strong networking background.
- Demonstrated experience in Reliability & Observability related toolchains (LogicMonitor, Splunk ITSI, DataDog, ELK, Grafana among others)
- Demonstrated experience in developing using DevOps/IaC languages and toolchains such as Python, Groovy, Gitlab, Gitlab-ci, jenkins.
- Solid understanding of Security concepts, trends and best practices with experience in validated environments.
- Hands-on technical security skills, operational background, and experience with security technologies and underlying infrastructure.
Soft Skills:
- Customer-oriented and service-focused.
- Collaborative and proactive team player.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work in a global team.
Knowledge and/or experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
- Other relevant certifications: CCNP Security, CISSP
- Agile framework / methodologies.

- Salary range for the Polish locations: 17 000 – 23 000 PLN gross based on the employment contract. For Spain the salary range will be discussed on a one to one basis.
