About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically inclined intern to join our Risk team, with a focus on Credit Risk and Fraud Risk. This internship offers hands-on experience in designing monitoring frameworks to identify and mitigate risk across the customer lifecycle. You will work on developing internal risk scorecards, analyzing bureau and partner-shared data, and recommending controls and risk insights that can be shared with banking partners for implementation, as well as used internally to strengthen fraud mitigation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit and Fraud Risk Assessment ● Assist in identifying and assessing credit and fraud risks across acquisition and portfolio management ● Support the development of risk scoring models by analyzing historical data and trends.
2. Data Analysis & Reporting ● Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python. ● Develop dashboards and reports to monitor key credit and fraud risk metrics. ● Support preparation of risk insights, portfolio reviews, and fraud alerts for senior stakeholders.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration ● Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Business, Product, Engineering, Data Science and Design, ensuring alignment and execution across all stakeholders. Preferred Skills and Qualifications ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ● Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or other analytical tools is a must. ● Curiosity and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Opportunities for Learning ● Understanding the credit card industry. ● Exposure to real-world risk frameworks and decision systems. ● Hands-on experience with fraud detection tools, credit bureaus, and alternative data. ● Mentorship and career guidance from experienced risk professional.
